Every August, Filipinos celebrate Buwan ng Wika to honor the Filipino language and the many local languages spoken across the country. By speaking and appreciating our own languages, we remain connected to our roots and heritage.

Today, many young Filipinos use English and other foreign languages daily due to the demands of education, work, and social media. While learning these languages is valuable and necessary, we must not overlook the importance of Filipino and our regional languages. However, Buwan ng Wika should not be limited to wearing traditional attire or participating in school activities.
