City of Bacoor launches Malikhaing Bacooreño under the Lunsod Lunsad Program of DTI

18 June 2024 | The City of Bacoor launched the Malikhaing Bacooreno, a community event that aims to celebrate and promote art and culture within the Bacoor community. The project envisions bringing together artists, artisans, and art enthusiasts in an effort to create a vibrant, inclusive platform for artistic expression and appreciation.

With the presence of Mayor Strike B. Remulla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista-Mendiola, Mr. Edwin B. Guinto, Tourism Officer of City of Bacoor, Mr. John Verlin Santos, Project Coordinator, SB Members, Asst. Regional Director Revelyn A. Cortez of DTI-IVA, OIC PD Lilibeth R. Chavez of DTI Cavite and other guest, a launching ceremony was held on 18 June at the City Hall Lobby Bacoor Cavite.

The Bacooreños showed their talent when it came to singing, dancing, cosplay, guitar performance, spoken words and marching band. They also exhibited artworks highlighting the creative imagination of the local artists.

The Malikhaing Bacooreño is an activity under the Lunsod Lunsad program, which started recognizing outstanding artists in Cavite.

Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
