Laguna Association of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers hold sports fest

Sta. Cruz, Laguna - As the country observes National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) this July, the Laguna Association of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers (LADRRMO)

held a sportsfest and a motorcade on 01 July 2024 at the Laguna Sports Complex in Brgy. Bubukal.

The event was participated in by different local government units (LGUs) in Laguna, graced by PDRRMC Chairperson Governor Ramil L. Hernandez and Congresswoman Ruth M. Hernandez.

Under the theme “Bantayog ng Katatagan at ang Pagbubuklod sa Layuning Kahandaan” (Pillar of Resilience and Uniting for Preparedness), this year’s observance emphasizes the necessity of proactive measures to enhance the country’s ability to withstand and recover from climate- related disasters. Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
