Laguna receives Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Development Partner for Southern Luzon

  SAN MIGUEL, Manila – Laguna Governor Ramil L. Hernandez  received the Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Development Partner for Southern Luzon on Improving Access to Markets Category in the recently concluded Awarding Ceremony of the 2024 Presidential Awards for Outstanding Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and the Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Development Partners held in Malacañang Palace on 10 July 2024.

Earning such recognition is the result of the commitment and effort of the Laguna Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO) in implementing the program “Bridging Market and MSMEs: The Impact of Likhang Laguna Initiatives.”

The primary objective of said program is to promote and enhance economic growth and development of the province by supporting local MSMEs.  This is in addition to providing market access and financial assistance, conducting capacity building trainings, and focusing in the promotion of Likhang Laguna products which would offer more income generating opportunities to Lagunenses.

Gov. Ramil expresses his heartfelt thanks to His Excellency President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. who gave the award himself; DTI Secretary Mr. Alfredo Pascual; Vice Chairman of MSME Development Council Joey Concepcion; and Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
