Mayor Vicente B. Amante met with DOTR, PNR and NHA officials for the resettlement housing units under the PNR-SLH Project

 San Pablo City- Last August 22, 2024 the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Philippine National Railways (PNR), in collaboration with the National Housing Authority (NHA), held a coordination meeting last August 21, 2024, to discuss the pre-turnover activities for the first batch of resettlement housing units under the PNR South Long Haul (SLH) project. The meeting attended by Mayor Vicente B. Amante, Executive Assistant to the Mayor Kristin Ann Picazo, Mayora Gem Castillo, along with key officials from the DOTr, PNR, and NHA and Franeliza Caston of CUDHO, focused on ensuring the seamless integration of Informal Settler Families (ISFs) into their new community at St. Barts Southville Heights, Brgy. San Bartolome. Emphasizing the importance of transportation services and connectivity to essential services, the discussion underscored the need for comprehensive planning to promote socio-economic development within the resettlement area and its surrounding vicinity ahead of the targeted turnover in the fourth quarter of 2024. Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
