Provincial Government of Laguna holds 2nd Stakeholders Business Forum
Calamba City, Laguna – In cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Laguna Provincial Office, and the Laguna Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (LCCI), the Provincial Government of Laguna (PGL) led by Governor Ramil L. Hernandez, together with Congresswoman Ruth M. Hernandez, held its 2nd Stakeholders Business Forum at the Laguna Provincial Capitol Extension in Brgy. Halang on 20 August 2024.
With this year’s theme: “Navigating the Future: Business Innovation and Resilience in Laguna,” the forum brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and policy makers to discuss the innovative strategies and resilience of the business industry in the province.
Cong. Hernandez welcomed the participants while Gov. Hernandez and DTI-IVA Regional Director Ms. Marissa C. Argente delivered their inspirational messages, followed by presentations of each of the guest speakers.
Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) President Mr. Rene S. Meily discussed Strategies for Ensuring Resilience in Business Industry; Independent Governance Consultant Dr. Aser B. Javier discussed Business CARE and the Local Governments; Mr. Ronilo Balbieran of REID Foundation, Inc. presented Emerging Business Trends and Innovations; and ASEC. Leonila T. Baluyut of Competitiveness and Innovation Group (CIG) presented Driving Innovation and Growth through the Tatak Pinoy Act.
Highlight of the activity was the Awarding of Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Companies in Laguna, presented by Gov. Hernandez and LCCI President Atty. Rose Lynn Zara-Coloma.
Awardees were Amherst Laboratories Inc., and Gardenia of Biñan City; Enchanted Kingdom and Seda Nuvali of Santa Rosa City; Science Park of the Philippines, Inc/ICCP Group foundation Inc., and Asian Transmission Corporation of Calamba City.
The forum closed with a panel discussion focusing on the event’s theme, with panelists composed of the guest speakers and local business leaders; followed by closing remarks from LCCI President Coloma; and ending with dinner and networking among the stakeholders. (Photos by Joel Enagyap/Laguna PIO)
