City of Calamba  282nd Founding Anniversary and SOCA of Mayor Roseller Rizal

Calamba City -  The 282 year-anniversary was commemorated in a simple occasion at this city on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Coinciding with the commemoration is the State of the City Address of Calamba City Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal.

In his speech, Rizal enumerated the achievements and accomplishments of his administration for the past two years under his administration.

Among those are his projects and initiatives on health and nutrition, infrastructure, doing business, natural resources, government efficiency, peace and order, disaster resilience, social services and others.

Mayor Rizal also announced his full support to the city ordinances and priority programs of the Sangguniang Panlungsod under Vice Mayor Angelito Lazaro Jr.

According to Rizal, all projects and services under his term were carefully studied and evaluated for the common good of his citizenry.

Rizal also acknowledged various awards and recognition which the city received under his administration.

Among them are 6th Most Competitive Component City in the country based on 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index, Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence Award and other recognitions.

Among those present were Rep. Charisse Ann Hernandez-Alcantara, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Laguna, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Barangay Captains and their councilors, department heads and city officials, officials from the national government agencies and civil society organizations.
