 DILG IV-A Regional Director Iglesia congratulates Laguna Province


Sta. Cruz, Laguna – Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region IV-A Regional Director Ariel O. Iglesia congratulated the Provincial Government of Laguna during the flag raising ceremony at the provincial capitol Time Plaza on 06 January 2024.

RD Iglesia, together with DILG-Laguna PD Jay Beltran, presented to Governor Ramil L. Hernandez the awards won by the province in 2024, with the Seal of Good Local Governance as highlight, along with High Functional Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC), High Functional Local Committees on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC), and Ideal Functional Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) awards.

With great pride and honor, Gov. Hernandez received the awards and thanked DILG for recognizing the efforts and ccomplishments of the province. He also heartily thanked PGL officials and employees, gratefully sharing with them the awards, since they are highly instrumental in achieving PGL’s goals and aspirations.

Moreover, Gov. Hernandez also received Model Local chief Executive Award 2024 from the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA), presented by officials of Laguna University. (Photo: Jun Sapungan/Laguna PIO)

Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
