 DPWH R4A joins in the Inauguration of Balagtas Flyover in Batangas City


Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office No. IV-A joins the inauguration of the Balagtas Flyover in Balagtas, Batangas City on January 8, 2025. 
The ceremony commenced with ribbon-cutting with DPWH Region IV-A Assistant Regional Director Joel F. Limpengco, Batangas 2nd District Engineer Sonia D. Paglicauan, Construction Division Chief Robert L. Naval, Batangas 5th District Representative Hon. Marvey A. Mariño, Batangas City Vice Mayor Alyssa Renee A. Cruz-Atienza, and Balagtas Barangay Captain, Hon. Cynthia A. Culla.  The event was also attended by Local Government Unit representatives and barangay officials. 
On behalf of Regional Director Jovel G. Mendoza, Assistant Regional Director Limpengco delivered the message highlighting the significance of the Balagtas Flyover in improving the lives of Filipinos. He emphasized that the project aims to enhance daily commutes, strengthen connectivity, and foster closer ties between communities.
The Balagtas Flyover project, with a total allocated budget of 747.65 million pesos spans 1.440 kilometers and features two alignments. One alignment provides direct access to Batangas Port, while the other connects seamlessly to Batangas City Proper. The project is designed to deliver efficient and sustainable road networks for the benefit of the public. (Arman Cambe)

DPWH R4A AND DEOs EMBRACE ASEAN-INSPIRED ATTIRE DURING FLAG RAISING CEREMONY: Department of Public Works and Highways Regional Office No. IV-A along with its District Engineering Offices, actively complied with the Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 16, s. 2024, which prescribes a revised dress code for government officials and employees. As part of this directive, DPWH Region IV-A employees wore an ASEAN-inspired attire on the first Monday of the month during the flag-raising ceremony held at the Canlubang Interchange in Barangay Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna on January 6, 2025. District Engineering Offices from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon also participated in the initiative, holding similar ceremonies at their respective offices.
