 HVI with over 1.3M worth of shabu arrested in Laguna Police Drug Ops

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – A High-Value Individual (HVI) in possession of Php 1,360,000.00 worth of shabu was arrested during a police operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Team of Siniloan Municipal Police Station afternoon of January 13, 2025, in Barangay Wawa, Siniloan, Laguna.

Based on the police report, the arrested suspect was identified as alias “Marvin,” 41, who is listed as High-Value Individual in the Siniloan MPS Drug Watchlist. The suspect was apprehended after selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu to a police officer acting as a poseur buyer in exchange of Php 500.00.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were 5 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and 2 knot-tied transparent ice bags containing shabu, weighing 200 grams valued at Php 1,360,000.00. Also seized were a gray sling bag used as a container and the marked money used in the drug bust.

The arrested suspect, along with the recovered pieces of evidence was forwarded to the PNP Laguna Provincial Forensic Unit at Camp Paciano Rizal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, for laboratory examination.

PBGen Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, Regional Director of PRO CALABARZON, commended the Siniloan MPS for their swift and decisive operation. Meanwhile, charges for Violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect before the Laguna Prosecutor’s Office, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. (RPIO4A)
