Lapu-Lapu, Cebu — Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates has reached a significant milestone, becoming the first in the Philippines to achieve 5-Star BERDE District Certification across its entire operating portfolio, with the recent awarding of its Cebu Economic Estates. This recognition underscores Aboitiz InfraCapital’s unwavering commitment to sustainability and sets a new benchmark for green, industrial-anchored developments in the country.

Aboitiz InfraCapital’s 63-hectare MEZ2 Estate and 540-hectare West Cebu Estate have each been awarded the prestigious 5-Star BERDE District Certification, completing the green certification of all Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates. Both estates have demonstrated world-class performance in sustainable building practices, earning the distinction of being the first 5-Star BERDE District Certified developments in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

Aboitiz InfraCapital pioneered this journey to sustainability by securing the first-ever BERDE District Certification for its 1,000-hectare LIMA Estate, setting a precedent with its maximum 5-star rating. Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
