 Over P1.1M of Shabu busted in separate police operationss in Cavite

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City– Three High-Value Individuals were arrested, and a total of P1,180,270.00 worth of shabu was seized in two drug busts conducted by the Drug Enforcement Team of Cavite Police in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

According to the report, in Barangay Salitran 2, Dasmariñas City, the Drug Enforcement Team of Dasmariñas Component City Police Station arrested alias “Shakes,” 31, listed as High Value Individual residing in Zone 1, Silangan Compound, Longos, Bacoor City, Cavite.

During the operation, authorities recovered 16 sachets of hybrid marijuana/kush, weighing 449.18 grams, and 37 small box also containing marijuana, all with a price of P840,270.00.

Additionally, a black backpack and marked drug bust money was confiscated.

Meanwhile, in another operation conducted by joint operatives of the Cavite Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Dasmariñas CCPS at Barangay Salawag, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, 2 more HVI were arrested, identified as alias “Kay,” 34, and alias “Francisco,” 55.

Recovered from the operation were 6  sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams, valued at P340,000.00, a mobile phone, and marked drug bust money.

Regional Director, PBGEN Paul Kenneth T Lucas, commended the operatives for their dedication and reaffirmed the region’s strong stance against illegal drugs.

“These successful operations prove our firm commitment to combat illegal drugs. We will not stop until we rid our communities of these threats and bring these individuals to justice. PRO CALABARZON stands firm in protecting our people and ensuring a safer future for all,” Lucas said.

The arrested suspects were brought to Dasmariñas CCPS along with the seized evidence for proper disposition. Cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court. (Roselle R. Aquino)
