DOST-CALABARZON enhances project monitoring through GIA Guidelines Re-Orientation Seminar

The Department of Science and Technology-CALABARZON (DOST-CALABARZON) conducted a GIA Guidelines Re-Orientation Seminar on April 11, 2025, at the RD Guerrero Hall, DPITC Building, DOST-PCAARRD, Los Baños, Laguna.

The seminar was attended by members of the Technical Operations Project Evaluation and Monitoring Team, as well as representatives from the Accounting Unit, General Support and Services, and the Provincial Science and Technology Offices (PSTOs).

The re-orientation was part of DOST-CALABARZONs efforts to strengthen compliance, accountability, and collaboration among key personnel involved in managing projects funded under the Grants-in-Aid (GIA) program. By enhancing coordination between financial and technical monitoring teams and engaging stakeholders at the provincial level, the activity aimed to promote a more efficient and transparent project implementation process.

This initiative sought to ensure that GIA-funded projects were executed in full adherence to established guidelines, maximizing the impact and effectiveness of DOSTs support for science and technology development.By Harley G. Margallo
