Gov. Sol, DSWD Distribute Relief Goods to 1,000 Residents in San Pedro, Laguna

Over 1,000 individuals from Barangay Landayan received essential relief goods through the efforts of Governor Sol Aragones and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The distribution was made possible through the initiative of Gov. Sol, in coordination with the DSWD, and with the support of the local government of San Pedro, Laguna. The activity aimed to provide immediate assistance to families affected by recent calamities and difficult living conditions.

Local barangay officials also assisted in the smooth and orderly distribution, ensuring that aid reached those who needed it most.

The relief effort is part of the province’s continuing commitment to deliver timely support and promote the welfare of every Lagunense true to the principles of a GOByernong may SOLusyon.

Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
