Gov. Sol Returns to Bae District Hospital with Urgent Supplies, Orders Immediate Rehab of CRs and Facilities

Less than 24 hours after her surprise visit, Governor Sol Aragones returned to LPH Bae District Hospital, this time bringing immediate supplies and giving direct instructions to resolve the facility’s most urgent concerns.
"Pag natukoy ko ang problema, gusto ko kinabukasan may aksyon at solusyon na," Gov. Sol stressed.

With her were Dr. Odillon Inoncillo, Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Health Office, and Engr. Gil Agarri, Provincial Engineer, as they re-inspected the hospital’s water system, comfort rooms, and ceilings, areas raised as critical during the initial visit. Dr. Nathaneel V. Rallos, Chief of Hospital, and Ms. Elizabeth Magno, Administrative Officer, also welcomed the governor and personally expressed gratitud for the swift response.
Among the supplies delivered were 25 electric fans, ensuring every patient could stay cool and comfortable amid the extreme heat. The hospital also received 10 new hospital beds with foam mattresses and IV/dextrose stands to replace makeshift, unstable equipment. “Sa sobrang init, nagdala na ho kami ng 25 electricfan. I want to make sure na bawat pasyente meron,” said Gov. Sol.
“May dala po tayong 10 kama para sa mga pasyente natin. Ito po ay for the meantime lang, ngayon po titingnan po natin ang iba nilang kailangan.” she added.

One of the most pressing issues addressed was the poor condition of the hospital’s 14 comfort rooms. After seeing them firsthand, Gov. Sol declared,
“Hindi ko maatim na ganyan yung sitwasyon ng CR ninyo. Karimarimarim. Ipapa-rehab na namin agadbyan,” with Dr. Odillon backing the commitment. She also gave on-the-spot durectives to Engineer Gil,
“Yung sa tubig niyo ipapaayos agad natin 'yon. Pangalawa, yung kisame niyo na sira-sira, ipapaayos na rin natin.” she firmly said.
At the hospital’s laundry area, Gov. Sol promised to add more washing machines and laundry staff to meet the growing demand for sanitation and linen services. The hospital environment has already begun to improve. Rooms will now have better ventilation, IV stands are securely placed on hospital beds, and patients will no longer left waiting for basic comfort.

“Sabi ko babalik po ako dito,” she reminded staff and patients alike standing by her promise to return with immediate action. Still, the governor didn’t hide her concern about how long these conditions had gone unaddressed,
“The point is, bakit ang ito dinanas ng mga pasyente? Kaya nalulungkot ako kasi ang tagal, 2024 pa ‘to eh, hindi ba?” She clarified that these initial responses are just the beginning,
“For the meantime, ito muna kaya namin gawin. Pero hindi man kumpleto, at least nasimulan na.” Staff and health workers, including Chief Dr. Rallos, expressed heartfelt thanks for the prompt support. Above all, Gov. Sol reminded them of the one thing she asks in return,
“Mabait sa pasyente. ‘Yun lang ang kapalit na hinihingi ko.”
