 Charting New Horizons: Strengthening CRVS and Bringing Data Closer to the People

In line with the celebration of the 36th Civil Registration Month (CRM), the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A (PSA RSSO IV-A) formally opened th e Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Exhibit to its clients on 02 February 2026 at the PSA RSSO IV-A premises. Serving as one of the key information and advocacy activities of the Office, the exhibit was designed to educate and inform the public on the critical role of civil registration and vital statistics through informative panels, visual displays, and curated materials, highlighting the significance of registering vital events such as births, marriages, and deaths and underscoring the importance of these records in planning, policy formulation, and effective service delivery.
Anchored on the 36th CRM theme, the exhibit highlighted how a strong and responsive CRVS system serves as a foundation for inclusive development, efficient public administration, and resilient communities. It emphasized that accurate, timely, and complete civil registration does not only benefit individuals and families, but also enables government institutions to produce reliable statistics essential for its operations.
Moreover, the exhibit provided an avenue for PSA RSSO IV-A to showcase its continuing initiatives, innovations, and partnerships aimed at improving civil registration services and bringing them closer to the people. Clients were encouraged to actively participate in civil registration processes and to recognize their role in ensuring that no one is left unregistered.
Overall, the opening of the CRVS Exhibit reaffirmed PSA RSSO IV-A’s commitment to advancing a reliable CRVS system that supports identity, inclusion, and sustainable development.
