 36 th Civil Registration Month Celebrated Through Information Driveand Creative Contests at University of Batangas Lipa Campus

The Philippine Statistics Authority –Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A (PSA RSSO IV-A) hosted the 2026 Information Dissemination, Poster and Slogan Making, and Essay Writing Contest on February 19, 2026, at the University of Batangas Lipa Campus, in celebration of the 36 the Civil Registration Month. Anchored on this year’s theme, “Navigating the Future Together: Advancing CRVS in Shaping the Global and Regional Data Ecosystem,” the event aims to strengthen public awareness on the importance of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) in nation-building and evidence-based governance. The celebration underscores the critical role of accurate, timely, and complete civil registration in supporting effective public service delivery and policy development. The activity likewise featured an information dissemination session which  aimed to educate participants on the significance of registering vital events such as birth, marriage, and death. Though the contests, students showcased their talents and insights through poster and slogan making as well as essay writing, reflecting their understanding of civil registration’s role in shaping a reliable and inclusive data ecosystem. By engaging the youth sector, PSA RSSO IV-A reaffirms its commitment to promoting the value of civil registration and fostering partnerships with academic institutions to advance statistical awareness and civic responsibility. A total of 23 faculty members and475 high school students participated in and supported this meaningful celebration, including 232 male and 243 female students.
