 CALABARZON HAS A NEW POLICE DIRECTOR 


Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City - Brig Gen Hansel Marantan has been appointed as the new director of the Police Regional Office Calabarzon (PRO 4A), effective Monday, March 9, 2026. 

The appointment was formalized through General Orders No. NHQ-GO-DES-2026-1126 dated March 9 issued by the Philippine National Police Directorate for Personnel and Records Management. 

Prior to his new post, Gen Marantan served as director of the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group. He will now oversee police operations across the Calabarzon region, which covers the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon. 

Taking over the leadership of the HPG is Brig Gen Jessie Tamayao, the current executive officer of the Philippine National Police Directorate for Police Community Relations. 

Meanwhile, outgoing PRO 4A director Brig Gen Paul Kenneth Lucas has been designated as the new director of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (SAF). 

Gen Lucas replaces Maj Gen Mark Pespes, who previously headed the elite police unit and retired from the service. 

The reshuffle forms part of the continuing leadership adjustments within the PNP aimed at strengthening police operations and organizational efficiency.(Roselle R. Aquino )

Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
