Laguna Reaches Nearly 200,000 Patients Monthly with Free Maintenance Medicines Through Akay ni Gob Botika

Laguna-The Provincial Government of Laguna continues to expand its healthcare program as nearly 200,000 residents receive free maintenance medicines every month through the Akay ni Gob Botika initiative. Led by Governor Sol Aragones, the program now operates across all 24 municipalities and six cities in the province, ensuring wider and more equitable access to essential medicines.

Designed to ease the financial burden of families, especially those managing chronic conditions, the initiative strengthens grassroots healthcare delivery through accessible botika centers in every town, with continuous expansion to reach more beneficiaries in the coming months.

“Yung halos 200,000 na pasyente ay kada buwan na natin nabibigyan ng gamot at tuloy-tuloy pa ito na nadadagdagan dahil bawat bayan may botika na. Dito napupunta ang buwis ng taumbayan. Hindi po nila utang na loob sa akin ito,” Aragones emphasized. From a government with solutions, the program marks a significant milestone following the completion of 30 Akay ni Gob Botika sites across the province, reinforcing Laguna’s commitment to accessible, inclusive, and sustainable public healthcare services.(PIO-Laguna)
