PRO CALABARZON CHIEF PUSHES FOR STRONGER LGU-PNP PARTNERSHIP FOR PEACE AND ORDER
LUCENA CITY – Police Brigadier General Hansel M Marantan, Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office CALABARZON (PRO CALABARZON), recently graced the Regular Monthly Meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) – Quezon Chapter held at Kalilayan Hall here.
During the event, PBGEN Marantan emphasized the vital role of Local Chief Executives in maintaining peace and order within their respective jurisdictions. He stressed that strong collaboration between Local Government Units (LGUs) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) is essential in effectively addressing issues such as criminality, illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and other threats to public safety.
The regional director also presented PRO CALABARZON’s intensified anti-criminality operations and the implementation of the "Safer Cities Initiative." This program aims to enhance police visibility, improve response times, and strengthen community-based crime prevention measures.
Furthermore, PBGEN Marantan reiterated that sustainable peace and development can only be achieved through shared responsibility and continued partnership between the police force and local leaders.
