On April 13, 2026, at 8:00 AM onwards, PCOL SANDRO JAY DC TAFALLA, Acting Provincial Director of the Laguna Police Provincial Office, together with Hon. Roseller Ross H. Rizal, City Mayor of Calamba City Laguna, led the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City Government of Calamba and the Laguna Police Provincial Office. The activity was held at the Mayor’s Conference Room in Calamba City.

The agreement formalized the partnership in the implementation of the Tourist Safety Program, further strengthening collaborative efforts to ensure the protection and security of tourists visiting the city.

After the signing, PD TAFALLA conducted an inspection and visitation at the Rizal Shrine (Bahay ni Rizal), the New Tourist Police Assistance Center, and the City of Calamba Tourist Information Center in Calamba City, Laguna. 

The visit aimed to enhance coordination with local tourism stakeholders and ensure the safety and security of all visitors. It also highlighted the readiness and responsiveness of the Tourist Police in providing assistance and maintaining peace and order in key tourist destinations.

In line with this, the Laguna Police Provincial Office has tasked the Tourist Police Unit to ensure the safety and security of all tourists within its Area of Responsibility (AOR) through intensified visibility patrols, proactive coordination with stakeholders, and the implementation of appropriate security measures. These efforts aim to promote a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Moreover, this initiative underscores the continuous commitment of the Laguna Police Provincial Office to support local government tourism programs by fostering a tourist-friendly environment. It forms part of the intensified campaign to boost public confidence and promote Laguna as a safe and welcoming destination for travelers.
