CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA — Celebrating four decades of empowering women through education and skills training, Anihan Technical School, a project of the Foundation for Professional Training, Inc. (FPTI), is set to hold a major fundraising event aimed at expanding scholarship opportunities and upgrading its facilities.
Founded in 1986, Anihan Technical School has long been committed to uplifting women—especially those from underprivileged backgrounds—through technical-vocational education.
Recognized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Department of Education, the institution continues to play a vital role in shaping skilled and employable graduates for the hospitality industry.
As part of its 40th anniversary celebration, Anihan will host “Anihan @40: A Milestone of Harvesting Dreams”, a benefit lunch and thanksgiving program scheduled on June 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Palms Country Club.
The event aims to raise funds for scholarships benefiting 40 future scholars, as well as for the upgrading of the school’s kitchen laboratory. Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly support Anihan’s mission of providing free technical education to financially challenged young women.
Anihan offers a one-year scholarship program in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Services (CARS), which includes national certifications in Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery, and Food & Beverage Services under TESDA. The program provides free tuition and laboratory materials, preparing graduates for immediate employment in hotels and restaurants as kitchen staff, pastry chefs, and service professionals.
Over the years, the institution has built strong partnerships with around 70 industry players, helping ensure job placement opportunities for its graduates.
Driven by its core values of excellence, integrity, and continuity, Anihan continues to advocate for poverty alleviation by equipping women with practical skills and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Organizers are calling on individuals, companies, and organizations to support the initiative through donations and sponsorship packages.
Contributions will fund full and partial scholarships, as well as facility improvements, with all donations being tax-deductible.
“Anihan @40” will also highlight inspiring stories from past and present scholars, showcasing the transformative impact of education in changing lives and communities.
As Anihan celebrates its 40-year milestone, it continues its mission of helping women rise from dependence to self-reliance—one scholar at a time.
