 More Than 3,000 Laguna Youth Patrollers to Serve as Partners in Promoting Accurate Information Across Laguna


As part of Governor Sol Aragones' commitment to strengthening youth participation in responsible journalism and public communication, the Provincial Government of Laguna continues to empower the Laguna Youth Patrollers (LYP) a program that equips young Lagunenses to become partners of the provincial government in promoting accurate, reliable, and responsible information. The gathering of LYP members was held on July 18 at the Provincial Capitol Extension in Calamba City, led by LYP Chairman Doland Castro and LYP President Bryan Guarnes.““The activity was also attended by Provincial Administrator Atty. Nathalie Velasquez, Provincial Assistant Administrator Carina Macalos, former Luisiana Vice Mayor Luibic Jacob, who represented Governor Sol Aragones, Danilo Lucas of the Laguna Provincial Information Office (PIO), and veteran media practitioners Julius Segovia and Noel Alamar, who shared their expertise and experiences to further enhance the participants' skills in communication and responsible journalism.““The program opened with inspiring messages

Laguna PDRRMO holds Incident Command System Position Course

  The Laguna Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Mr. Aldwin M. Cejo, in coordination with the Office of the Civil Defense CALABARZON, conducted a 5-day Incident Command System (ICS) - Position Course at El Cielito Hotel, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 29 July to 01 August 2024, attended by Laguna’s city and municipal DRRMO personnel.  The trainees were tasked to discuss, brainstorm, plan and decide on the operational activities to be done before responding. It also raised awareness on the different ICS positions being used in responding to disasters for them to be equipped with much needed knowledge, skills and attitude in managing disasters and planned events.
