 PhilHealth Calamba Holds YAKAP Orientation for ADHIKA Members to Strengthen UHC Awareness

Calamba City, Laguna — The Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) Calamba conducted a Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) orientation for the officers and members of ADHIKA Calamba Inc. on June 5, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen public awareness and participation in the implementation of Universal Health Care (UHC).

The activity aimed to provide participants with a better understanding of the YAKAP program and its role in promoting preventive healthcare and ensuring access to appropriate health services through empaneled healthcare providers.

During the orientation, PhilHealth representatives discussed the benefits of PhilHealth membership, the importance of maintaining updated membership records, and the various healthcare services available to members under the National Health Insurance Program.

Participants were likewise informed about the significance of selecting and being assigned to a YAKAP Provider to facilitate the delivery of primary care services and improve access to quality healthcare services.

The orientation also served as an important venue for empowering women through health education and increasing awareness of available healthcare programs and services in their communities.

Through engagements with community organizations such as ADHIKA Calamba Inc., PhilHealth continues to bring its programs closer to the public and supports the successful implementation of Universal Health Care by ensuring that every Filipino is informed, guided, and connected to essential health services.#
